Trip Indication Relays, TIRs, are an early E-MAX success story. Introduced as the first product line for E-MAX, the TIRs are noted for their high reliability, millisecond actuation, simple installation and minimal cost. The Control Accessories line has since expanded to included Auxiliary Voltage Relays, Contact Time Extenders, Trip Circuit Monitors and Diode Assemblies.

Increased demands for innovative products set E-MAX in motion for growth in the 1980s. Leading the way were new product lines that included Battery Relays, DC/DC Converters, and a second generation Frequency Relay, the SFR-2. The SFR-2 transformed the industry with its high noise immunity, ability to be field expandable and a case that could directly replace previous units.

In 1989, E-MAX introduced the Faxtrax Digital Fault Recorder. Fax output, unique to the Faxtrax DFR, delivered unmatchable performance. Truly revolutionary, the DFR captured fault data and transmitted detailed information via facsimile to multiple locations. The total system package included Data Analysis Software as well as Master Station Software. This powerful combination allowed E-MAX to pioneer remote diagnostics and maintenance for DFRs enabling quick response and minimal interruptions.

Built from standard components, the Faxtrax is still easily expandable, maintainable and upgradable. The 19 inch rack mount cabinet was designed to offer simple, cost-effective upgrades from the light beam oscillograph. E-MAX continues to lead DFR technological advancement. Innovative IED - The FR2 Frequency Relay Recorder

E-MAX innovation continues as we proudly introduce the FR2. The FR2 is a phasor based load shedding relay coupled with frequency recording of logging and tripping history. This sophisticated relay also features underfrequency, overfrequency and 4 set points, each capable of tripping with 6 cycles or more of delay. A frequency output is available every second.

The RS-232 port, on this intelligent electronics device, is available for output to a SCADA system, PC, portable computer or modem.
